Airplane Courses
Highland Rim Aviation provides airplane flight training in middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky. We are conveniently headquartered close to Nashville, TN at the Springfield-Robertson County Airport (M91). A full-service flight training center, we provide all levels of fixed-wing airplane flight instruction. We are also a GI Bill® Eligible Training. Our airplane flight training program includes:
PRIVATE PILOT CERTIFICATE
Whether you’re looking to learn to fly for fun or you want to become an airline pilot, flight training at Highland Rim Aviation begins with your Private Pilot’s Certificate.
ROTARY TRANSITION
This course is the perfect pathway and necessary first step for rotary wing pilots to earn the credential to fly fixed winged aircraft. This one makes everything else possible.
Multi Engine
A multi engine rating extends your piloting capabilities and offers an exciting way to explore new airspaces. Whether you are a private or commercial holder, think beyond single-engine aircraft with this additional FAA certification that equips you for flight of multiple engine.
INSTRUMENT (IFR)
Having an Instrument rating will make you a better pilot by enhancing your skill at precisely controlling the aircraft, your ability to operate in complex air traffic control scenarios and your confidence to fly safe in changing weather conditions.
COMMERCIAL
Having a Commercial Pilot Certificate allows you to transform your passion for flying into an exciting and rewarding career. Not only is it essential if you want to fly for pay, but it will improve your flying skills, control and confidence in more challenging situations.
CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (CFI)
Being a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) is a great way to share your passion for aviation, build flying time, improve your skills, and get paid to do it. Teaching others to fly can be a great way to move forward in your own flying and your own career.
CFI-INSTRUMENT
Being a Certified Flight Instructor-Instrument (CFII) is the next value-added credential in your portfolio of aviation ratings. It’s a great way expand your hour-building capacity, hone your own instrument flying, and of course, get paid to do it.
COMPLEX & HIGH PERFORMANCE ENDORSEMENT
An endorsement is basically a “sign-off” from a Certified Flight Instructor that states that the pilot has received the required training for the particular task.
